Neurodivergent Affirmative Therapy for Adults in London & Online
Online and in London · South East & Central London
Soul Bridges Therapy is the counselling practice of Iliana Stoyanova, offering neurodivergent affirmative counselling and psychotherapeutic support for adults in London and online across the UK and worldwide.
You might be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck, or noticing patterns in how you relate to yourself or others that you would like to understand and change. For some people, this connects to neurodivergence, including ADHD; for others, it relates more to life history, identity, or the environments they have had to navigate.
I offer a thoughtful, collaborative counselling space where adults can explore their experiences in the context of neurodivergence, identity, relationships, and wider life pressures. Together we can reflect on patterns, meanings, and experiences that shape how you relate to yourself and to the world around you.
My work is neurodivergent affirmative and grounded in the understanding that neurological difference is part of human diversity rather than something that needs to be fixed. Counselling can support people navigating burnout, masking, self-understanding, and the emotional impact of living in environments that may not always accommodate different ways of thinking and experiencing the world.
You are welcome whether you identify as neurodivergent, neurotypical, questioning, or prefer not to use diagnostic language at all. Our work moves at a pace that respects your autonomy, your nervous system, and how your mind works.
Sessions are available in London and online for clients across the UK and internationally.

Frequently asked questions
-
I work with adults coming to therapy for many different reasons, including ADHD, AuDHD and other neurodivergent experiences, burnout, anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, perfectionism, low self-esteem and questions around identity or self-understanding.
You are welcome whether you identify as neurodivergent, neurotypical, are questioning, or prefer not to use diagnostic labels at all.
-
No ,you do not need a formal diagnosis to work with me. I work with people at many different points in their understanding of themselves , before or after diagnosis, while waiting for an assessment, questioning whether they may be ADHD, autistic or AuDHD, self-identifying as neurodivergent, or choosing not to pursue a diagnosis at all.
I can offer a safe space to explore your experiences and, if helpful, support you in understanding or navigating the UK diagnostic system.
Diagnostic labels are often used within a medical model, which can sometimes focus on difficulties, disorder or deficit. A social model and neurodivergent affirmative approach also consider the impact of environments, expectations and systems, and recognises neurological diversity as a natural part of human variation.
For some people, a diagnosis can bring clarity, validation and new language for understanding their experiences. Others prefer a broader or more holistic way of understanding themselves.
Ultimately, therapy is about you, your experiences and what you want to explore ,not about fitting into a particular label.

Neurodivergent-affirmative therapy means therapy adapts to you, rather than expecting you to adapt to therapy.
We work with the way you naturally think, process, communicate and experience the world. This might mean adjusting the pace or structure of sessions, using practical tools where helpful, allowing different ways of communicating, and making sense of experiences such as masking, burnout, overwhelm, executive-function difficulties or sensory needs.
It also means taking distress seriously without automatically treating neurodivergence itself as the problem. Together, we can explore what is difficult, what has shaped your experience, and what helps you live in a way that feels more sustainable and more like you.
-
Yes. ADHD and neurodivergence are an important part of my work. Therapy may explore experiences such as overwhelm, masking, burnout, emotional regulation, rejection sensitivity, executive functioning, relationships, self-esteem and understanding yourself differently.
I work with people both before and after diagnosis, as well as those who are questioning or self-identifying.
-
Yes. I work with anxiety, overthinking, burnout, stress, depression and low mood, whether or not these experiences are connected with neurodivergence.
We can explore what may be contributing to how you feel, patterns that have developed over time, and practical or reflective ways of responding that feel useful to you.
-

Online therapy can work particularly well if travel is difficult, your schedule varies, you live outside London, or you simply feel more comfortable talking from your own space.

No. You can use the contact form to choose either a free 15-minute consultation or go straight ahead and request your first full session.
The consultation is simply an opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of how I work before deciding whether you would like to begin. I won’t call unexpectedly — we will agree a time first.
